Charles Perkins Centre

The Charles Perkins Centre at Sydney University required a reclad to replace its non-compliant cladding. The project included the installation of 12,765m2 of ALPOLIC™ NC/A1 panels, selected to meet both the safety and aesthetic standards of this prestigious facility. ALPOLIC™ NC/A1 was chosen for its industry-leading 20-year full replacement manufacturer’s warranty, which covers material, labour, and rectification costs. Another key driver was that it does not require any ongoing maintenance to maintain the warranty, resulting in significant cost savings over the product’s lifecycle. The panels, finished in Silver Metallic, Black, Rustik, White, Charcoal, and Manganese Metallic, were selected to complement the centre’s modern architectural design.

As a multidisciplinary hub for research on chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions, the Charles Perkins Centre required a façade solution that combined safety, innovation, and long-term resilience. ALPOLIC™ NC/A1 provided a high-performance, compliant solution, ensuring durability and energy efficiency while enhancing the building’s visual appeal.
