F10 New Law Building

F10 New Law Building

The F10 New Law Building at the University of Sydney underwent a reclad to replace its non-compliant cladding, featuring 2,200 m² of ALPOLIC™ NC/A1 panels. These panels were selected for their superior safety and aesthetic qualities, with a custom Prodema Pale Woodgrain timber finish chosen to replicate the existing natural timber façade. ALPOLIC™ is renowned for its advanced paint coatings and precise colour matching, achieving a highly realistic timber appearance.

As a key facility for legal education, the building required a façade that met stringent safety standards while ensuring long-term durability. ALPOLIC™ NC/A1 was chosen for its 20-year full-replacement warranty, covering materials, labour, and rectification costs. This warranty also includes protection against fading, with no ongoing maintenance required, giving the University complete confidence in the product’s performance, and also offering significant cost savings over the lifespan of the façade.

This reclad project upgraded the building’s exterior, ensuring compliance with the latest safety regulations and reducing future maintenance concerns. It underscores the University’s commitment to creating a safe, innovative, and inspiring environment for students and staff, positioning the F10 New Law Building as a premier space for future legal professionals.
